Is your MONEY working hard for you?

5 things You should Know About Saving and Investing:

Do you have funds parked in Time deposits and/ or SDAs? (Yes) Would you be open to hear some ideas on how you can make your money work even harder for you? With Inflation averaging 6% for the last 5 years, the usual time deposits and SDAs will not keep up with inflation. Let me share with you some ideas on how you can make your money work harder through diversification.

The 5 things you should know about Saving and Investing:

1) We Save for the rainy days...INVEST for Future expenses and Goals Remember that Saving IS NOT EQUAL to INVESTING. Saving is merely means to put it aside as a reserve, while INVESTING is to commit in order to earn a Financial return.
Examples of Savings: Time Deposits and SDAs, these are safe haven for your:

 Day to day needs
 Short term expenses (less than 5 years)
 Emergency fund ( 3-6x monthly expenses)

“Any Excess funds must be INVESTED. Make your idle money WORK to help you meet your FUTURE GOALS.”

 2) To meet Future goals, the RETURNS on your SAVINGS won’t get you far. Did you realize that today’s 1M will be worth 1.6 Mil in 10 years? ( Assumed annual inflation is 5%). If you want to maintain today’s cost of living into the future, you must keep the pace with inflation as the returns on your savings will not keep pace with inflation.

 3) The Solution is to DIVERSIFY . To meet future goals, INVEST in instruments that match your timeline, and offer better-than-inflation returns. Invest in VUL Funds to achieve your Long Term Goals Once you identify specific Life Goals, then invest your excess funds in instruments that match your goal’s time horizon.

 4) Invest in VUL Funds to achieve your Long- Term Goals. Once you identify specific Life Goals, then invest your excess funds in instruments that match your goal’s time horizon.
Example: Travel to Europe in 7 years, Owning a house, Vacation with the whole family, provide the Best college education for your children etc.

 5) VUL let’s your money work hard for you; PLUS: You have a SAFETY NET ( insurance coverage) to ensure that your loved ones (beneficiaries) will get 125% of your Single Premium or the Fund Value, whichever is higher.
